China: Inexpensive 1-2 week tours?

Figure out the best place to stay on Khao San Road in Bangkok and where to escape when you've had enough of the mayhem. From Singapore Slings to the changes in Bejing after the 2008 Olympics, gab about it all here.

China: Inexpensive 1-2 week tours?

Postby Anisky » May 15th, 2009

Hi all,

I'm living in South Korea right now, and during my 2-week vacation this summer, my mom's flying in from the US and we're going on a trip to China together. Normally I don't like tours-- arranging everything and having to look out for myself when things go wrong is part of the fun-- but my mom would prefer one (though possibly only a 1-week tour, and then one week traveling ourselves). The problem is, I don't really know anything about tours! And I'm on a fairly limited budget.

Are there any cheap, but still pretty good 1-2 week tours of the highlights of China? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

BootsnAll has a wide selection of small group adventures in China and you can refine your search from this page to how many days you want the tour to be (using the search options in the top right of the page). Providers include Intrepid mentioned above.
