Hello,
we are going to Iceland for 2 weeks. We will be driving around the island. Can anyone give us any advice about the accommodation? Is it difficult to find a room without booking in advance?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Iceland accommodation
What time of year will you be in Iceland? That may effect how far in advance you need to book.
Here is a link to accommodation in Iceland as a starting point.

Re: Iceland accommodation
From the best I can tell, there are a lot of people going to Iceland this July and August on the premise that it is a cheaper summer than it normally would be due to the currency collapse (although in reality I am not so sure it really is going to be) and, therefore, accommodation appears to have limited availability and what is available is more expensive.
We're arriving about a week after you and are also driving, but are planning on camping instead.
