Hiking in late August and flying on air miles but only can get to Nairobi. Looking for a budget flight from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro and back. Any tips?

Precision Air do a regular turbo prop shuttle to JRO, so do Kenya Airways, but if you want a bit of local color take the Impala Shuttle overland.

I flew Precision in June of last year. Chaos in the Kilimanjaro airport. tiny airport, lots of people and no one to give you any gate or check-in info. get there EARLY and be ready to WAIT. Not entirely their fault it just is what it is. I think Kenya Air and Precision may be the same thing... same plane different flight #s. I would fly them again.

Last June I took the Riverside shuttle bus from Nairobi to Moshi (8 hours?) and flew back (50 min) on Precision. The bus was cool going but would have seemed like an eternity going back.
