Bali right after Ramadan...
My wife and I intend to visit Bali for the first time during Eid ( September 20th 2009 till October 1).. We have some free days off due to EID in Amman, were we reside, We are concerned that being a Muslim country, Bali would be full of Eid revelers. We want to avoid this crowd.

Indonesia is a predominently Muslim country, but Bali is not.
There are several posts on our Bali travel guide about the end of Ramadan in Bali. It seems like there may be some closures of Javanese businesses and some crowds of Javanese tourists but it should not disrupt your travel to Bali. Depending on what you want to do with your time, of course, and how long you have there.

Re: Bali right after Ramadan...
It's probably going to be pretty busy with local/regional travellers during Sept 20 - 22, where it is a public holiday in Indonesia, and Malaysia. Thanks to cheap airfares, it's not just the Muslim travellers (actually they are more likely to stay at home and celebrate with the family), but rather the non-Muslim citizens of these countries that would take advantage of this break. Heck, I was thinking of goign to Bali myself during this time, but will likely go home instead. Maybe a bit less busy throughout that fourth week of September, but still do-able.
But I wouldn't worry too much about this because usually local/regional travellers, especially if they travel in packs, have a different travel style than backpackers/cheap travellers. They are more likely to stay in mid-range hotels, and do tours.

My suggestion is do not go there when a holiday time cause its will be more crowded, after Ramadhan lots of domestic traveler come to Bali cause its long holiday time there.
