Starting in Sofia, Bulgaria. BMW 650 GS Dakar is costing me 1300 Euro roughly for 25 days (www.motoroads.com). Road taxes in each country will cost a little extra.
Any riders out there wanna join up? I'm flexible with what I wanna do.
Wanna hit the markets in Istanbul, check out Auschwitz in Poland, Dracula's castle ruins in Transylvania, ancient ruins of Greece, beaches along the mediterannean - namely Croatia... Check out Budapest, Split, Sarajevo, Warsaw, doesn't really matter, museums, art galleries, good eating, historical sites, tourist attractions, well kept town secrets, micro-breweries, nightclubs.
looking to stay in hostels/inns/or camp out to keep costs down, but do a hotel in a major city once a week to recoup
Let me know what you think. wuzzittgunnab@hotmail.com

That sounds like a great trip. 52euro a day is alot cheaper than I would have thought you could rent a f650. How did you find Motoroads?

I googled those sons a bitches!
lol, but seriously, I knew eastern europe would be cheaper than western europe thanks to the unfortunate wars they've suffered through during their relatively recent freedom from communism. So it's perfect, they're now developed enough to be splendid places to visit, but affordable enough to do it.
So i googled "bike hire" and "bike rental" for each eastern country i thought i'd like to see (so all of them were options), then i compared all their prices and which ones permitted you to travel anywhere in the EU on their bike.
Then I checked airfare for all the places and lo' n behold, flying to sofia Bulgaria was also the cheapest, as was their bike rentals.
So there you have it. And an f650 GS is a pretty sweet bike from what I hear, and people on other forums who have rented from them said their bikes are in good condition. Can't wait.
You interested in coming? shouldn't be too costly.

Heh, I'd love to come but I'm not taking any big vacations because I'm saving up for my RTW
I'm starting to research which countries I want to go through. Even though I still have quite a bit of time before I start _real_ planning. I'm just trying to get an idea... not alot of posts on here about the countries I want to see the most (basically the ones you're visiting in eastern europe + stans + mongolia).
I'll probably ship my DRZ 400 or my f650GS that already took me to south america.
