I'm currently studying in Mumbai, and I have the last two weeks of October off and was thinking of going up north to Haridwar, Dalhousie,and other parts of Uttranchal, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. I'd love a travel buddy for any of this trip if anyone will also be in the area? Hit me up if you'll be up there even if just to share a meal or a drink.
A little more about me:
I'm 26, female, and born and raised in the US but I'm a first generation American. My parents are immigrants from Inida (punjab, in fact) so I speak Hindi and Punjabi fluently and have been to India many many times. I've done a fair amount of traveling and I'm a pretty easy going traveler. I am pretty good with directions, but also tend to be a bit of a planner sometimes.
I like doing some touristy things but the point of this trip is to check out some of the pilgrimmage sites since I've never been. Oct isn't the best time to go since it's kind of cold up in the mountains, but I'm going to take my chances since I have some time off. Plus Diwaali's around that time.
Would really love to meet up with some other travelers, so let me know if you'd be down.
