Sanur guest house
Can anyone recommend/review a guest house in Sanur called Flashback's? I like what I see on their website and the price is right for our budget, so I'm trying to book some rooms ahead of time for when we first fly in. But several days have gone by since I emailed them about reserving, and so far no response...Just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently or what. Is it still operating, and is it recommended?

Re: Sanur guest house
The mention it gets on our Bali site seems favourable, and there's two BootsnAll blogs (one & two) that have favourable mentions but those posts are probably not recent enough to be absolutely sure.

Re: Sanur guest house
Thanks! I did finally end up hearing from them -- I think my original email got spam filtered. I would still love to stay there, but they're booked on the dates I need. If anyone here would like to recommend an alternative, I'm all ears. We're a family of 4 (two kids), so it's tricky finding a hotel with either a room where we can all sleep together, or two rooms (possibly adjoining) that still fit our budget. Whether it's one big room or two regular ones, we don't want to spend a total of more than about $35/night. We're good with a fan room (no A/C) and cold water, but would like a small pool & basic cleanliness. I've investigated a few other places but so far no luck. Any suggestions??

Re: Sanur guest house
Ressurecting an old post - but I've just been to Sanur and found that it's quite expensive in terms of accomodation compared to other areas of Bali.
Apart from Flashpackers, who seem perenially booked out , I went to Semawang Beach Hotel.
I searched while I stayed a week and couldnt find anywhere other than these 2 that don't cater to the mid range - luxury holiday makers.
I couldn't recommend them more - they have the friendliest staff, a great location and had air conditioned rooms rather than a fan at budget prices (200,000 at time of writing). Also have a swimming pool and sun deck (though the beach is 3 minutes walk , so its a bit redundant!)
(they have an email at info@semawangbeach.com)
I don't work for them , honest
