Hello - Just introducing myself

Postby WorldSiteSeer » September 23rd, 2009

Hi, I'm Debra. I'm planning a 'round-the-world tour - departing August 2010. I'd LOVE to meet up with fellow travelers along the way. I start the tour in St. Paul de Vence for a month-long intensive French training. Then on to Paris for October. Then somewhere not as COLD as Paris is in the winter.

I'm diving the top ten dive spots along the way. If you're interested in sharing any part of this experience, please write me at worldsiteseer@gmail.com and tell me what you have in mind. If you're brave, adventurous, and optimistic, we may be a good travel team.

I'd LOVE any ideas on the best way to plan this.

Yours
Debra

Hey Debra — welcome to Bootsnall. Glad to see that you're planning a RTW. My wife and I are planning a trip, as well — but we're not scheduled to depart until Summer 2011. After your french course in Europe, why don't you head toward Southeast Asia. You can practice your french, say in Vietnam, and dive your heart out. Plus it's warm!

Hello Daniel and Kathryn,

Thank you. That's a great idea. Have you been diving there?

I'm no diver — yet. But I heard a lot of people say that diving in Vietnam is excellent. Nha Trang is one of the larger coastal cities, with lots of options. I do, however, love Vietnam. And loved speaking french with the older population. The French influence is still very strongly felt there, hence the recommendation!
