Hey everyone,
A couple of months ago we bought cheap tickets to SE Asia in a big flight sale and we're planning our itinerary now. We have abut 45 days and were hoping to smish Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam all into these 6 weeks but trying to plan the itinerary now I've realised how insanely ambitious that is. Just wondering if you all think it's even worth doing this or we should just stick to 2 or 3 countries?
I've travelled a bit before and i know travel in these countries is slow and not always reliable so i think even if we make plans to see all 4 it probably wont work out that way.
Anyway any advice or tips or ideas would be great!
6 weeks - 4 countries?

Re: 6 weeks - 4 countries?
Hi...good timing, I guess? I am in almost the same situation. I have about 8 weeks and after thinking about it, decided to do (starting in BKK) Thailand (north) into Laos, and then N Viet. I had originally included Cambodia as the 4th country but decided it needs to be another trip. Also decided to not do S. Viet, either ( I think...) So, not only have I cut it to 3 countries, but will try to focus on a certain area (northern parts) of each. Having said all that, I'm so wishy washy on my itinerary....will be interested in what you decide. I'm travelling on my own and don't necessarily have a tight budget so may fly once or twice along the way. From Laos to Hanoi, for example and then at the end, from Hanoi back to BKK. I'm also open to suggestions. Have been trying to read through archives and blogs but makes me want to go to even more places... good luck!
