Panama

Anyone been to Santa Catalina? WE are thinking of taking our two older teens there for a few days to do a little surfing. And how about accommodations?
This is in Dec., I am hoping it isn't hard to find a place in the middle of the high season.

There's some mention of Santa Catalina on these forums, so until someone else chimes in with some recommendations, check out these posts. Perhaps you could PM those members as well to hear their experiences.

Thanks Hydro,
I am starting to find more info on Santa Catalina, and talking to some surf camp managers.
I was particularly interested in Oasis Surf Camp. It is right on the beach, but not sure if you need a special vehicle to get there. Doesn't seem to have a paved road. And haven't heard back from the owners, yet.
As far as Panama City goes, I hear Casco Viejo district is the best place to stay. Do you agree? WE are only there a couple days, then off to San Blas.
