So what do you guys think of this? would you do it? I'm not sure I really get the point of it...rush around the world in 3 weeks but you aren't being filmed or anything. Maybe I'm missing something here.....

I would probably do it though. It would give me an excuse to quit my job and move on. what an exhaustin 3 weeks though!

This thread doesn't have any tags.

You can still check out the tag index though.

What are tags?

Do you have to pay an entry fee and then get transit discounts or what? Seems like whoever has the most money to start with will get through it the fastest.

I think it would be fun thing to do, next time I've got nothing better to do with $10,000 (apparently that includes airfare, so extra costs not too bad), but I'd rather do more real, relaxed travelling first, and then try something like this. It's more about the competition than the travel though, so it's not a RTW substitute.

It's an interesting idea, and it would definitely be an adventure... but it seems like it's more or less rushing from one place to the other, and it looks insanely expensive... $10,000 + approximately $125/day...

I think BnA should sponsor a team. Good press! More stories! And only 10 grand!

Isn't that something like "The Amazing Race" (a CBS reality TV show)?

Looks quite similar, though if you read through the site they start making fun of the Amazing Race, and they insist you have to be well travelled to participate, so I guess they see themselves as being more about the travel and cultural encounters. But realy, if your going around the world in 3 weeks, at racing some of the time, I think they're really deluding themselves.
