My husband and I are traveling to Prague and Munich this September (about 3 to 3.5 days in each). We figured taking a train from Prague to Munich is the best way. Any tips on when to purchase tickets or if taking a bus is better?

We've been recommended by friends to just purchase our train tickets in Prague the day we are leaving. However, I am a planner, so this worries me (i.e., if the train is booked, if we miss the time, etc.). Do they run the same schedules each day? If not, how do we know when to show up at the train station to purchase our tickets?

Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks!

Thank you! Do you recommend purchasing the tickets online ahead of time (do the buses sell out frequently)? Or waiting to get our tickets while we're in Prague (are they much cheaper purchased on-site)?
