I generally avoid Pride like the plague - I haven't been to my local one in London for a decade now. Generally the majority of the people attending really don't seem to be the same type of gay, and they are normally way too busy.

I will be going to Brighton this year though - it's smaller, friendlier and more fun than any other I've been to, plus it's a good excuse to see all my Brighton mates. For anyone who's not been before I'd recommend it.
Currently on a twelve month RTW trip. Read about my experiences at http://itinerantlondoner.wordpress.com

I skipped it in my town, and it sounds like Pride Season was a bit of a disaster in other US towns - from clubs being raided and shut from coast to coast to a death in San Diego.

I missed Pride in my town since I was in Budapest at the time. I probably had more fun there than here. Smile

Budapest is underground. Literally. Most of the bars I went to were in the basement level for some reason. It was fun though. They have live sex on stage at the strip bars... and dark rooms if the mood hits you. ;-)
