Reforestation Programme and Machu Picchu

Figure out the best way to get from Central to South America, when you should book your accommodations for Carnaval and local language school recommendations. If it's on South America, it's in this forum.

Reforestation Programme and Machu Picchu

Postby Kite » July 24th, 2008

This project offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental efforts in the high Andes of Peru and visit Machu Picchu. Volunteers spend their first week planting native trees and providing environmental education to local communities. Afterwards they are taken on a mini-adventure which includes various archaeological sites (Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuaman etc), the Sacred Valley of the Incas, an indigenous market, the magical Machu Picchu and much more.

This project costs £479 which includes accommodation, food, a Spanish/Quechua/English speaking guide, and local transportation.
