Reliable Kenya Tanzania tour operator
Traveling Joe
Hi I am looking to travel to Kenya Tanzania this August and I was wondering about booking with African Safari Tanzania. http://www.africansafaritanzania.com/ . I cannot find any reviews on them online and they dont seem to be part of any associations. They have two other companies listed at their p.o. box which makes me nervous. They have great budget pricing 1440usd pp for two person private safari no food included. They want only 25% at booking and rest when I arrive. Anyone have any tips? I am a bit nervous to send them money!

I do not know the tour operator youre using but I can recommend a great one for TZ (northern parks): http://www.gladysadventure.com/
Ive used her for both a Kili trek and a 4-day safari and tons of other backpackers/PCVs have used her as well. She is amazing and its an extra perk to support a company owned by a Tanzanian woman!

I have not heard anything good or bad about the tour operator you said. However, if the guys don't publish their prices on their website I would not go any further. I once filled out the form to get information, after about 50 emails and 10 phone calls they finally left me alone. I ended up booking with an American tour operator that has their own operations office in Africa. It was nice, I found the trip I wanted, saw the price and then booked and paid for it online. Everything went smooth as can be. The trip was amazing. I am looking to go back, this time I want to see the gorillas in Rwanda. The tour company is called E-Trip Africa website is http://www.etripafrica.com.

I've been thinking of going in Kenya, too. Thanks for the suggestions. Now I know who to call.
