Hi there bootstraps! First post for ol' me :) wish me luck!

I'm curious as to the current condition of the road from El Llano to Carti. Has any body been down it in the last couple of weeks or have a friend that has and can pass the info on to me. I'm aware that the rainy season in the area is(generally speaking) is just beginning so it could be washed away anytime. I've heard that they have just recently done a lot of work on it and am curious as to any updates? Depending on the conditions, I'll be traveling this road come mid April and will be watching weather patterns and reports.

Secondly: Can anyone recommended an inexpensive(20-40 per night) island to stay via Carti. Beach, lack of sand flies and gorgeous! etc.

Thanks,

Artin

...ps, I have a 4x4 land crusier.
