I got my DVD last night and watched it already. It's every bit as good as it looks. It's really, really well done; very professional. It's also very fair and doesn't sugar coat things.

It's going to be shown on MTV (soon, I think), so if anyone isn't going to buy the DVD keep an eye out for that.

I just watched this documentary. It brought back a lot of fond memories of my RTW trip. I think the movie would have greater value to people who are undecided on doing a trip and want to know what it's like. For those of us who have already done a trip like that, it's more of a nostalgia thing (not to say it's not an enjoyable movie). I plan on circulating it among my friends and I hope to convince some of them that you can escape the rat race.

If you're already set on going, it'll probably be more fun not to watch and instead find out all the little gems of vagabonding firsthand.

I disagree, if you are about to embark on your first adventure, this movie would appear to be a fantastic way to get amped-up sky-high

I watched the trailer and got goosebumps!
Now i've posted it on my BnA travel blog in an attempt to get my friends and family to understand why I want to wander around the other side of the world for 8 months.

Yeah definately buy it. I'm probably not any closer to quiting my job and going rtw but it got me pretty excited for my upcoming first solo trip. It's one of the few dvd's I own that I'll watch a second time.

That's a great movie, brought back heaps of memories from my backpacking adventures many years ago.

Definitely very inspirational.

Yeah, we are already set on going and making plans as we speak, but I can't wait to watch this. It should be here any day now, and I know we will watch it immediately upon arrival. I think we need all the information we can before we embark on something like this.

I watched my copy of it today and it is fucking fantastic!

Highly recommended! This is the first film (that I have ever seen) that accurately portrays what we do.

I bought mine yesterday... can't wait. Gonna circulate to all my stay-at-home friends, as well as family and others who don't "get" me. I doubt they'll decide to jump into a RTW, but at least they'll get an idea of the cool shit and experiences involved in backpacking.

I watched the trailer just now and it nearly made me weep, given the stage my own plans are at! By the time I leave I shall probably be a weird medium between the dinkin' and shaggin' youngtards and the pill-poppin' 70-year old. Make of that what you will. I will.

Ordered my own copy immediately. Sucker for punishment Wink
