Hi there everyone.
My name is Adam, and I'm a writer here at BootsnAll. I focus on RTW travel, and over the course of the last few months, we've been working on a massive research project. We realized that there wasn't really one place anywhere on the web to read about all your RTW plane ticket options, so we decided to create one to help all your RTW travelers out with one of the biggest expenses of a trip like this.
We came up with three fictional RTW itineraries - from an ultra basic, 4-stop, major hub city RTW ticket to a complicated 18-stop (13 flights, 5 overland) RTW ticket. We then posed as customers and searched those three itineraries across eight different companies who sell RTW plane tickets, including searching a do it yourself option to simulate buying point to point tickets. The first step of this project was publishing reviews of our shopping experiences:
Star Alliance RTW Plane Ticket Review
One World Alliance RTW Plane Ticket Review
SkyTeam Alliance RTW Plane Ticket Review
AirTreks RTW Plane Ticket review
Round the World Flights RTW Plane Tickets - A UK based company
Round About Travel RTW Plane Ticket Review - An Australian based company
STA Travel RTW Plane Ticket Review
DIY (do it yourself) Point to Point Plane Tickets using Kayak
As travelers and customers, you also have the ability to review any of these companies. Our goal is to build a huge database of customer reviews to help those who are shopping for RTW plane tickets or trying to decide between a RTW ticket or point to point tickets, which we know is a major decision for the RTW traveler. So if you have shopped with any of these companies or bought a ticket from them, we would love for you to submit a review.
This is only the beginning of the project, and there's going to be tons more to come, including an ebook that will break down the rules and regulations for all these companies who sell RTW plane tickets. I'll be sure to post again when more content comes out, and if you haven't already, sign up for the RTW Ticket newsletter to stay up to date on everything we are doing.
Thanks!
Adam Seper

Hmmm, let me check on that to see what's going on. Thanks for letting us know. I'll post back once I find out what's up.

Wait, what exactly are the routes that you used for these flights, and what months? I was trying to find this info but couldn't (as for example I figure anyone flying to/from London in July won't be getting the same numbers as someone who does it in February).

Right + there was a $1200 CAD difference in my RTW by starting/ending at LHR rather than YYZ.

I like the reviews you've done, I've been phoning around a few of those companies recently trying to find the best deals and it's been useful to see what other people think of the companies. So far my favorites were "Round the World Flights" but they don't seem to match up in flexibility to the others.
How about a side by side comparison as a conclusion so that we can see which companies performed best in each aspect without having to go trough all the reviews.

Thanks so much for all the feedback everyone.
This whole project is still a work in progress, and we have lots more content that we are going to publish about all this (including side by side comparisons). All the ins and outs of each option, with graphs and side by side comparisons, will be published, but it may still be closer to a month. We wanted to get these initial reviews published first and give customers a chance to review them as well.
I am going to put together a few posts about the exact routes we shopped and the dates, as obviously this is vital to the research and our findings. We also plan to come up with and shop new routes at least once a quarter, if not more, once this initial content is all published. I'll come back here and post the links to the routes when they publish (they will be published tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday just as an FYI).
Thanks again for the feedback and for being patient with this as we roll it out. If there's anything else specific you'd like to see, please don't hesitate to let us know.

As far as your problem, busman7, can I ask a few further questions to try to get to the root of the problem? I submitted a review and it worked fine on my end, but we have had a few problems with others.
Just to be sure, you were trying to submit a review on this post, correct?

What browser are you using?
Did you only leave a comment, or did you also rate each category via the stars?
Thanks again, we're still trying to work out some of the kinks, so thanks so much for being patient with us.

That is the link I used.
Using Firefox.
I wrote a comment + rated each category via stars, when that didn't work I filled out the "subscribe" info thinking maybe that was necessary to comment, started over with the same result, all that shows is my name, email, website, the comment & star rating have disappeared.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what's going on with the reviews. Sorry you're having trouble. I just tried submitting reviews from both Firefox and Chrome and didn't have any issues. Let me do a little more research on it, though, and try to see what's going on. I'll post again when I find something.
On another note, here is the post about the first route we searched with dates. There will be a new one tomorrow and Friday outlining the other two routes.

Hi busman!
So I'm not sure why this happened, but all your comments were being put through to the spam section of the comments. I am going to get them published here shortly. Sorry about the inconvenience. I was unaware that they had to be approved first, too, so now everyone can see all the comments and ratings we have received so far.
Thanks again for contributing despite the problems on our end!

The comments should be good to go now. I only have your very first one, if that's okay? Thanks again, and I do appreciate that you kept trying. Sorry you had to re-write it so many times.
BTW, here's the second route, with dates, that we shopped for this project.
