Solo female traveling to Jamaica 2012***INFO***

Hey ya'll,
I'll be heading to Jamaica in Feb 2012 for a 2 week stay, I will be landing in kingston and making my way up to Montego Bay (stoping along the way to sight see and really get Jamaica under my skin SOLO). I need info & tips on transportation (safe bus companies..and cheap) affordable and quaint hostels (no resorts) and great sights (already did some research on Negril & Blue Mountain) ...any feedback would be greatly appriciated.
