St.John Dominican Republic

Postby j o h n » February 14th, 2008

Looking for help rearranging trip to the Caribbean March 10-20. Original plans were to stay with a friend working at one of the lodging areas but his unexpected departure has thrown a major wrench in the works. Bare campsites are full and can't spend 860 dollars on fixed tent sites. St, John looks like a bust. Thinking of changing airfare to Dominican Republic. Any suggestions on good places to stay. Camping is an option. Also hoping to rent a surfboard and doing to surfing.

If you like camping you can setup your tent right on the beach for free, as long as you don't do it on busy beaches or near restaurants or popular places. Also you can pay many people in the country side a small amount of money to let you camp in their land. Other options are in every town: chip small hotels or big ones and expensive. Search on line and you'll find a lot of places to go.
