Sydney to Melbourne by Donkey

Head Down Under and yap about bloody Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Determine the best place to buy a car, how to get a working holiday visa and the best route for travelling the east coast of Oz and around the Kiwi Islands.

Sydney to Melbourne by Donkey

Postby Lancashirehotpot » October 8th, 2006

Ha. If only...

...actually I bet someone somewhere runs a tour like that...

Sorry, this is actually nothing to do with donkeys Off Topic Big Grin

I need info on the best way of getting from Sydney to Melbourne in November. Train vs Bus based on cost (as I'm on a rather tight budget) - not bothered really if the bus takes longer than train, just after a bit of info/useful websites for times & fares for each, if anyone can help.

Thanks again,

Joeski.

Normally cheapest and see little bar highway/countryside or do it at night to see less and save a nights accomodation would be www.fireflyexpress.com.au

Next, ditto for www.greyhound.com.au or www.premierms.com.au and then there's checking www.virginblue.com.au to see if any sales come on or have a look at their lunchtime specials noon to one AEST each weekday or www.needaride.com.au or www.standbycars.com.au if you're a driver to see if there are any $1/day fuel allowance relocations going.

Murrays used to do it for $10 bucks. Don't know if they still do.
