Hi everyone, I'm about to head off on my travels for 9 months in september to africa, australia, new zealand, and south america. I take regular prescription medication and am aware i can only take a few months with me. I am going to take a doctors letter with my meds and what I am taking them for. But was wondering how I went about obtaining my repeat prescription for the remainder of my travels??? Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Lynne.

It might be a bit invasive, but what kind of prescription medicine are we talking about?

In general, I've found that it's FAR easier and WAY WAY cheaper (I'm American) to get any medicine - prescription or otherwise - abroad while traveling.

Where are you from and where are you going? For example, if you're from the UK, perhaps if you get a prescription at Boots set up, you might be able to pick it up at another global location? Maybe?

Hope that helps some. Have a good trip!
