Technical China Visa question

Figure out the best place to stay on Khao San Road in Bangkok and where to escape when you've had enough of the mayhem. From Singapore Slings to the changes in Bejing after the 2008 Olympics, gab about it all here.

Technical China Visa question

Postby SkiCO » February 22nd, 2009

Hey guys,

So I have an L Type multiple entry visa good for 1 year. It was issued Jan 8 2008 and it says that I need to enter before Jan 8 2009. I entered China last June and have left but I want to go back.

Does anyone know if the 1 year limit applies from the date of issue or the date of entrance? I have tried calling the consulate to no avail so hopefully someone here might have some knowledge on the subject,

Thanks!!!

That visa has already expired, unfortunately.

Now then...it might still be good.

I've got a multiple entry visa that's good for a yer too. Expires Oct 2009 and I can come and go as I please just as long as I don't stay in the country for more than 30 days at a stretch. Check it to see if there's a limit on your entries. A double-entry visa is different than a multiple entry visa (and, if the last doble-entry I had is still being issued, would expire in three months, not a year).
