Figure out the best place to stay on Khao San Road in Bangkok and where to escape when you've had enough of the mayhem. From Singapore Slings to the changes in Bejing after the 2008 Olympics, gab about it all here.

I've booked a flight to Phuket and am hoping to do some training at a gym there. However i also want easy access to nice beaches. Most of the best gyms seems to be on the east coast, where I've heard the beaches aren't so great.

How cheap is it to travel by taxi between beaches
can anyone reccomend a good gym on the west coast?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's on the east or west coast but my friend and her husband run a Muay Thai gym on Phuket. This is their web page:

My friend's name is Diana...you'll see her name listed on the website. I'm sure she'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the gym and about nearby beaches.
