I'm really keen on seeing some indie flicks during the Melbourne International Film Festival, in 2007.
Has anyone been before that can advise me on how much tickets using cost, adn how far in advance you have to book?
The Toronto International Film Festival is usually pretty expensive, and you need to book way in advance, but it's totally worth it. Can I expect the same in Oz?
Also, I won't be in Oz t'til June 2007.

Haven't ever been Christine and not sure whether or how much of a premium they would charge above normal showings, about $15-20 I'd suspect for the city cinemas they use.
2006 Programme link has an email address for contact under About MIFF.
You could see how you go there, and they would have some idea on bookings demands but let me know if no luck and I'll see if I can contact them locally.

Miff usually starts mid - late July so you should be fine. I've never had any issues getting tickets and I often don't buy them until a week or so in advance.
Price wise, Gonorth was correct in his assumption that they are pretty much on par with non festival movies in Melb.
