After nearly two years, I have finally booked my ticket to escape from Ukraine!

Kyiv --> Frankfurt --> Chicago in April.

Now I just have to hope me, my wife, the cat, the dog, and the luggage all make it together.

Got a call from a friend yesterday at 4pm saying she found tickets to Italy for $360, plus an additional jaunt to Greece for 50 euro or something.

I said I was in, but then wondered about dropping out when I found out that 5 other people I don't really know were also going.

At about 12am I got a facebook message saying she'd bought the tickets.

So....apparently I'm going to Italy and Greece in six weeks!!!!!!... at the mercy of a crowd. Hahaha. I'll just consider this the study abroad experience I never had... ;)

Just booked tickets from Tampa to New Delhi - Kathmandu to Tampa for May. And, it was close to $500 less than when I checked 5 months ago. Yay!

Oops - I think I was off in la-la land (another way of saying I was drowning at work) and didn't see your post. Did you end up coming over? Well I should be a bit better at keeping up with BnA now that things have settled down at work.

Seven months to go!! I should add in one of those count-down thingy's to my signature - just gotta figure out how to do it.
