Does anyone know if I can get a boat to Bali? I can't afford the flight but I have lots of time on my hands and I know container ships go back and forth - does anyone know if they can be persuaded to take people? If not, does anyone know of a cheaper way to get to Bali - lots of different flights, or a combination of modes of transport?

where are you departing from?
Most container ships from Bali go to Singapore before heading anywhere .
At the moment I have seen the cheapest flights available in years to Bali but that was from Australia.
