Postby :~Eric~: » February 28th, 2008

I AM SUPER STOKED THAT I GET TO QUIT MY JOB AND TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD SOON. SO FAR I AM PLANNING TO LEAVE FROM PORTLAND OREGON SEE FAMILY IN CALIFORNIA AND NEW JERSEY THE GOTO NYC FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THEN I'M OFF. STARTING IN WESTERN EUROPE(ABOUT 1 MONTH)... GOING TO ALL THE SPOTS LONDON, PARIS, MADRID, ROME FLORENCE, AMSTERDAM, ATHENS, GREEK ISLANDS. THEN TO EASTERN EUROPE ROMAINA, HUNGARY, CZECH REPUBLIC, INSTANBUL. (BTW I AM GOING TO DO MOST OF MY EUROPEAN TRAVELING OVERLAND AND I PLAN TO GO TO MOROCCO FROM SPAIN FOR A WEEK OR TWO). FROM EUROPE I'M OFF TO EGYPT FOR A MONTH, THEN KENYA AND TANZANIA, INDIA FOR 6 -7 WEEKS, THAILAND FOR A MONTH...

BUT MY PROBLEM IS THAT I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD GET A RTW TICKET OR BUY TICKETS AS I GO. MY MAIN CONCERN IS COST I DON'T WANT TO PAY OUT THE NOSE FOR A PLANE TICKET ON THE ROAD. MY WIFE AND I PLAN ON HAVING $40,000 USD FOR THE TWO OF US FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP AND ARE GOAL IS TO BE GONE A YEAR.

I JUST NEED SOME ADVICE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE THIS KIND OF THING BEFORE!!! HELP!!!

SORRY FOR THE LONG RAMBLING POST.
Screw you guys I'm going traveling...

Eric this is one of the most common questions that folks ask on the board. Here is one example of an old thread. Also if you use the search function...you will get many more threads with the same subject..hope they help.

Also, ah...if you don't mind its really hard to read Capitals. Feels you are shouting at us :-) So you might want to use lower case for the questions.
