Diep Son is not the only island which has an undersea path in Vietnam. If you take the time to explore, you will find the same one in Phu Yen or Vung Tau.

1. Diep Son Island - Khanh Hoa

Diep Son includes three small islands, which are lonely located in Van Phong Bay, Khanh Hoa province. The journey to explore the island starts from Van Gia town, after about an hour drifting on the sea, the beautiful archipelago of Diep Son gradually appears clearly on the horizon.

Let your boat anchored near the middle island, thenyou can step off the boat and start the journey to conquer the unique and interesting undersea path which is nearly 700 meters long, connecting the middle island and the large Diep Son Island. The winding path is about 1 meter wide and located under the blue sea about half a meter.

Walking on this stunning undersea path bring an extremely excited and a little bit nervous feeling when you have to step between the mighty ocean. You can delight in watching the little fish swimming around the sides, every now and then seeing the fish jumping out of the water, or wave your hand at the boat running through.

There are about 80 households on Diep Son Island, earning their living mainly by fishing. The nightlife of local people depends on the generators, each family only have 3 hours per day to use electricity.

2. Hon Ba - Vung Tau

Hon Ba is a small island with beautiful landscape, which isabout 5,000 m² estimatedly, located in Bai Sau (Vung Tau city), approximately 200 m from Nghinh Phong cape. On the Hon Ba Island there’s a temple named Ba Temple (also known as the Hon Ba Temple). For residents of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and other provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long ... Hon Ba Temple has been a holy address to worship and admire for years.

There are 2 ways to go to the temple:follow the Bai Sau or Bai Truoc then Halong road which is around Nho mountain, go through Bai Dua to Nghinh Phong cape. Overlooking the sea, you will find a lonely island among immense ocean – that’s Hon Ba Temple.

In the full-water days, visitors can take a boat to visit the temple. However, the most interesting way is walking to the island. In 14 and 15th day of lunar months, the tide ebbes away in the afternoon, leaving a bumpy stone road, the pilgrims can park their vehicle at Thuy Van beach ad walk down the beach towards the foot of Nghinh Phong cape to visit Hon Ba temple. The people walk crowdedly but not elbow each other, everyone’s burden and worry of daily life seems to be relieved, putting their heart at ease when visiting the temple.

3. Nhat Tu Son - Phu Yen

Nhat Tu Son is considered the most beautiful islands in Xuan Dai Bay, located in Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province. The island looks like the letter I (means “1” in Chinese letter system), as if the talented hands of nature crossed a line on the blue sea, street on the blue sea, and perhaps the name of the island also born from its image.

With an area of approximately 6 hectares, Nhat Tu Son is located about 300 m from the mainland, connected to the shore by a sandbar, which you can walk on in the low tide days to get to the island and vice versa. Nhat Tu Son also serves as a screen to shield the mainland from storms, so it is considered as a god on the East Sea.

The landscape on Nhat Tu Son island is like a pristine lush forest. The mountain runs straightly from north to south, both ends of cliffs are craggy and vertical. The west side is gently sloping, with many Lager stroemia, and pine-tree... the south side however is rugged with countless yellow apricot, especially the ancient roots, rough and twisty trunk.
