My name is Sam, I am a 24yr old female looking to travel RTW in 2011. No plans yet or confirmed dates, I’ve just been reading loads on different destinations, attractions and wonders to increase my wanderlust.

The ideal person would be someone with a similar personality and who hasn’t travelled like this before. This will be the first time for me and I want to enjoy the experience with a first timer too. A key factor in finding the right person to travel with, we have to be working to the same budget, I would like to save anywhere from 5k to 10k for this trip. Although I would like to work, learn and volunteer along the way, there is no way I would want to miss out on anything because of money.

So a bit about me...I am naturally adventurous and am looking for someone with a similar outlook on the old travelling lark. Someone who will plan the trip with me and wouldn’t mind working along the way if need be. I enjoy nights out, water sports, off road driving etc. Even buying / renting a banger to get us from A to B? I enjoy sightseeing and would like to camp or hostel it for the majority of the trip A) to save money B) to meet other travellers and C) when we do stay in a nice hotel from time to time, we will appreciate it. Bottom line is to have fun, relax on the beach maybe, meet some peeps on the way and just experience what there is out there.

Girly girls need not contact me, I love the old lippy and high heels like any girl, however the trip I have in mind won’t involve travel straightners and cushy hotels and although it will include some luxories I'm sure, it will not revolve around bog standard pictures in front of landmarks etc I am looking for adventure, hiking in the Amazon maybe, or a overland tour though Africa, I want to walk through caves and see views that a unimaginable. Hi, Im alice, 25, currently a nurse. Im also thinking about going travelling. I have just returned from fiji, i met my boyfriend out there who is currently travelling around for 6 months with a mate and is loving it!. so its spurred me on to want to go to other interesting places. I have recently started a new job so i am not actually looking at leaving uk till aug 2010 as i need time to save up but would like to start planning and organising! Im very open minded about where i facy going but at the mo im really interested in south america and nz. i love walking and seeing and doing exciting things! in fiji we swam with sharks (harmless) but it was really good. anyway let me know if you think maybe our plans could fit in. I found in fiji that being with so many pople you diddnt know was quite daunting but got used to it so i think i would feel much more confident travelling with someone. alicespalace1984@googlemail.com

i'm currently doing a RTW in parts though. I should say though as a headsup, even roughing it hardcore, you will need at least 15K (not including airfare) to do a year's worth of travelling unless you are planning on working at the same time on the road. nature trips can add up as it sounds like you are after some adventure excursions.
