Show Us Your... Boots!

We need your photos!

BootsnAll was founded around the search for the ultimate traveling boot. Boots are versatile and can be used for just about anything – day hiking, city walking, or even a night on the town. They are the perfect footwear for the independent traveler.

Now we want to see your boots. We're highlighting BootsnAll members, their boots and why they like them. Send a close up picture of your boot in action – in the mud, on the pavement or even in your closet - to Jessica@BootsnAll.com, and tell us why you like your boots. They just might make an appearance in our new Boot section in the near future.

(Here is one of our original stories about boots.)

Well lotsa boots in my lifetime...lol.

Let's see...

those buckle, winter overboots when I was a kid - gone.
Danner, goretex hiking - gone.
Leather, two lbs each, half shank - no need, gone
to Good Will.
Plastic Boots (Koflach) - sold for a pittance of
original price.
Now, just down to one pair of hiking boots and one
pair of moon boots...great for shoveling snow...nice
and toasty warm but not much good for hiking.

Sorry, JessieS...no pics of pedal pushers Frown

They don't have to be hiking boots... All my boots have stiletto heels - but I might submit a picture anyway. Wink

A strange thing, to take a picture of one's boots and post it on the internet. Very revealing.

Why do i like them?
* They fit
* They don't leak
* We've been all over the world together Smile (I get emotionally attached to clothing, etc.)

(Note how the boots are positioned like the BnA logo...that should be mandatory.)

Hi

This is what my boots looked like after the Kilimanjaro trek. They were covered with volcanic dust and this mixed with a bit of moisture turned it into more or less concrete. I had to work quite a bit to clean them when I got back home.

The other day an ENORMOUS ugly poisonous spider hopped down from the windoW curtain and looked at me menacingly. What was my first reaction?

I screamed.

Then I went over to my closet and got my ENORMOUS hiking boots on. I stomped on him until he became a spider booger and his legs turned into confetti. Viking

I love my boots. They saved my life.

You know, it's the darndest thing. I'm 3 1/2 months into my RTW, and have taken close to 1,000 pictures, and I don't have a single picture that shows my boots. However, I'm heading to Kili next month, so I'll be sure to take some then.

That said, my boots are the Lowa Keranos and I really, really like them. So much, in fact, that I had my store ship a pair of them to me in New Zealand because they were out of my size when I left the U.S. Not only are they good, solid, lightweight hikers, but they look pretty darn cool too. Throw on a pair of jeans and they'd darn near pass for a pair of regular black shoes. Good for the clubs, etc., which I believe qualifies them for BnA membership. To quote the BnA Boots page, "The ultimate BootsnAll boot should be functional and yet look good. The idea is to have a boot that can withstand the everyday punishment, keeping your feet happy, and then be dusted down and polished up for a night on the town."

Strangely enough, even though I have no pictures of my boots, they just might make an appearance in a movie that's currently being filmed here in Phuket, Thailand. You can read more about that on my blog.
