I just went skydiving for the first time

Wow. I did a tandem jump, of course. It was all part of my ongoing 30th birthday celebrations (which was last Wendnesday, gifts still accepted). It's pretty hard to describe what it feels like--I think I'm still in a bit of an adrenaline-infused stupor at the moment. It was particularly nerve-wracking, as we watched 2 people have hard landings due to some weird wind conditions, one of whom broke her leg. Nonetheless, it was an amazing experience. My one complaint was that I got a little motion sickness and therefore had nausea for a while, but a quick nap fixed that, and if I do it again, I will remember to use motion sickness pills.
Again, what can I say but, wow.

I'll never forget my first (and currently only) skydive experience. It was fantastic. I couldn't stop smiling afterwards.
Congrats!!!!

Congrats and happy late bday! It's always nice to do something that makes you feel so alive. I had a nice landing, but my friend landed in a tree...doh!

Congratulations!

...Wasnt it a great feeling?
I had my first jump this summer with two other friends, and the only sad thing was that the jump was over so fast. But we did film it, so I can see myself everyday taking a skydive

..
The strangest thing was that after I landed my legs started to shake and it didnt stop until some hours later... possibly that my body reacted to have done something "not normal"
But fun was it!

Adrenaline... Mmmmmm. Absolutely the best high. I have yet to do my first skydive - definitely high on the to do list. In the mean time I make do with rollercoasters.
One thing I have done though - swimming with sharks in the wild, without a cage and without having planned the encounter. Damn it makes you feel alive afterwards! I lie - on one occasion I knew there was a good possibility of seeing them up close - but the other three times it was a complete surprise and some of them were real big buggers too.

Skydiving is the absolute bomb!!! Did mine about three years ago and somehow I think any subsequent dive is going to be a little less intense than that first one. I remember being quite chatty and excited going up in the plane, no problem getting to the door, took one look down and though ´f**k, that is a long way´and then heard ´....3´ and we were freefalling. The instructor turned us around as we fell so we could how quickly the plane disappeared. Gave a great sense of speed. Just incredible. Congrats on your first dive. Any more planned?

I can remember the minute we landed, I said I could easily do it all over again. Then they offered me the discounted rate for the second jump of the day, as it's a darn well known fact that people like me say that after their first jump every day!
I didn't fall for it though - it was still a bit rich for my blood.

I know that feeling! I would jump out of that "perfectly good plane ride" again in a heart beat. I did mine out in rural Illinois, though. I would love to do it somewhere where the scenery is more than farms dissected by irrigation lines for as far as the eyes can see. Any body have any views to write home about during their AFF?

Leaving in 15 minutes to drive 2 hours to delaware and go skydiving! It'll be my second time, thus making it an annual b-day celebration.
Woooooooooooo ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I have tried just about everything but skydiving. Well, going up, up, up has never been a problem. It's going down, down, down that I don't like!
