Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading Bali Blog for years, but never written anything. My husband Made and my two children have recently moved back to Australia after living in Bali for 1 year. We moved back because of money problems, but we wished we didn't listen to my family and sold our house in Oz and stayed in Bali. We are all missing Bali heaps, so it helps to talk on a forum sometimes. We will be coming back for Galungan next year and we will see how things go then before we make a decision. Any one else been in this situation

Hi Niluh
Nice to hear about your life. There are a few other ladies married to Balinese men living in Australia.I think all of them wish they could afford to stay in Bali permanently.
There is one lady who posts on another bali forum who lives in Aus and is desperately trying to secure visas for her husband to join her in AUS.
Hopefully you and your family can be happy here while you are here and someday realise your dream of living in Bali permanently.
Cheers Laurs

Thanks, I love reading your blog, I'm addicted. I thought I may have run into while living in Bali, but unfortunately I didn't. I will look out for you next time I'm in Bali. I used to live in Canggu or Tibubenang as they call it now. REally missing it and my old job.

Didn't eat out at flash restaurants much, as you know when married to a Balinese and earning rupiah, it doesn't go far with a family of four. We have a house in the village Bajar Dawas. Recently they have just built a new seafood restaurant in Dalung Purmai. The guy used to have a restaurant in Jimbaran and has done a similiar setup. Thatched roof, with eskies out the front with fresh seafood. Give it a go, its really good. Also ate every night in the warungs along that strip, very cheap
