I love my boots
Posted: June 13th, 2006I'd been looking for ways to make sneaker-type hiking shoes work for more serious treks (not the greatest idea I suppose), when I found these on sale for $80 and scooped em up cuz my 12-yr-old Vasques are no good anymore.... North Face Fortress Peak GTX.
Wore em to the club when they were new, on day hikes, and just tested them on a 2-day backpacking trip. Only got one minor almost-blister, otherwise they kept me very stable and grounded and no-rocks-in-my-shoes. Oh, and the colors are very nice
