What travel gear do you use at home?

What travel gear have you bought only specifically for travel, but now end up using frequently at home? Are you sleeping in your sleeping bag (since you haven't got around to buy a new warm blanket) or now using your super comfortable daypack for the everyday commute?

It's quite funny, but I actually end up using my universal sink plug, my travel clothes line and my micro fiber travel towel very often at home. Sure, they aren't that necessary at home as on the road, but somehow I prefer them to the big and sturdy domestic versions of the items Smile

On cold winter nights I like to curl up in my silk sleeping bag liner. I think it's my new security blanket.

I wear clothes I bought for travel quite often. Fleece jacket and vest, waterproof jacket, ExOfficio pants, etc. I also carry my Surefire flashlight with me everywhere.

My haversack, compass, and Leatherman. I got this Leatherman free after I broke another older one. Wept to see that one go. Had to get a Joe Louis to calm myself down. Glad to have this one though. Use 'em all the time hiking on the weekends

That's one well-loved Leatherman case.

I use my sleeping bag all the time. I like it better than quilts or blankets. There is also a list of products that I bought for travel that I use all the time because they work so great.

Shaving Oil- I bought it because of the ease of packing but I love it compared to shaving cream.
Tooth Powder - because I feel it gets my teeth cleaner that toothpaste.
Bar Shampoo becasue it ie way less messy than liquids.

I also tend to use my pack all the time and bought my chopsticks stricty for travel but use them more than a fork or spoon. The clothes I bought for travelling wear better than most of the "regular clothing" I used to buy so I tend to stick with the brands I bought strictly for travelling and last but not least my Tilley. Love that hat.
