G'day Mate

We have conversed already, I hope the Western Breach works out for you, it is a great climb, but here is my experience of diabetes and the mountains.

I guided a insulin dependent client once in the Chimanimani Mountains of Zimbabwe. It was a long and fairly punishing climb, and he was fine throughout, but had an episode on his return and suggested that it had been a bit too strong.

I also had the pleasure of climbing Kili over the new year with a young polish guy who was insulin dependent and he had no problem at all. His name is Oskar and his email address is oskar.tetzlaff@googlemail.com

I am sure he will ease your mind

G'Day Peter, thanks for the info, much appreciated, i will email this chap when im next at the cafe, im not at all bothered with the diabetes but just storage of insulin really, i am hyperglycemic so my bgl is high rather than low and as i understand it they feed us fairly well while on the mountain,so it should'nt really be a problem, anyway, thanks again Peter and take care, kind regards,
