You forget the part where it steals your soul and devoids you of any personality or energy.

Perhaps, but one can pocket plenty of stationary supplies over the years.

I'm only 1 year into my cube job and im going crazy. I cannot wait to go travel for awhile. I can't decide when to go though! I am thinking either may 2007 or oct/nov 2007. It's hard and that's a long way away.

I'm lucky in that my job require me to leave my cube periodically. Then again, I usually end up performing desktop support in someone else's cube. I guess I'm trapped either way :P

I've worked in a cubicle of some form for the last 11 years. It's not all that bad. I just have to remind myself that the suffering is funding my next vacation. Smile

These days I have the option to work 1-2 days from home which is quite refreshing. Nothing like rolling out of bed and "being at work" in 2 minutes. Big Grin

Oh yeah.... don't touch my stapler!

Though I do sit in a cublicle all day (and share it with a co-worker at that), I'm lucky enough that one wall is a window. Natural light makes all the difference in the world.

And if that isn't enough, said window also affords an excellent view into the apartment building next door, specifically the living room of a 70-something retiree who likes to walk around his place in the nude...totally nude.

When he drops something and bends down to pick it up...that's when it gets really good.

Well, we have these columns in our open cubicle office.....one is blue, another green another yellow. So when things get bad I imagine it to be the sky, or the sea, the lawn, the sunshine etc etc. Thank god for a vibrant imagination. Smile

It is hard to think outside of the box when you spend all day in one.
