Volunteering in Pacific Islands?

Hi all,

I'm looking into planning a trip in 2012, and was hoping to spend up to a few months doing some volunteering work in the Pacific Islands. Does anyone know, or better yet have personal experience of, any such (free!) volunteering projects in the area...?

I don't mind too much what the volunteering would involve; I'm 31, have travelled a bit before, done some summer camp work and am currently employed by an education service (though not as a bonafide teacher).

Try workaway.com - last time I looked they had some volunteering options in a couple of Pacific Islands. (THey are a bit like Woofing - you work and they give free food and board).
