has anyone heard of this or done it?? some adventure travel tours are now taking people into afghanistan from tajikistan over to a "safe part" of afghanistan. it's the little sliver of afghanistan that sticks out in between tajikistan and pakistan and touches china on it's western border. my friend just met a tour company that's doing this and wanted to know if anyone else has done it. i googled it and found a few companys... would anyone be willing to do this (just for the sake of conversation as i'm totaly broke!!)??? sounds cool to me!

It doesn't surprise me Wakhan is the safest part in Afghanistan. A number of tourists visit Wakhan every year.

Would you consider Afghanistan for ski holidays? I was surprised to see this link. Untamed Borders a UK based adventure company already arranged a first ever ski trip to Afghanistan.
