Where to live in southern France?

Has anyone been living somewhere they love in southern France?

I'm looking for an affordable town without too much winter weather (because I dislike snow).

My boss and I have been talking about me relocating to Europe because the rest of my team is there (Germany, UK, Netherlands, and Tel Aviv). It is unlikely to take place for the next two years (until my son graduates high school), but I'm thinking ahead.

Any place in France you'd recommend?
