There are a bunch of new resources out there if you're looking to research student ratings and reviews of study abroad programs. It's definitely worth taking the time to read some of this stuff, especially once you've picked the country or the city you want to study in, but not yet your program. Even if you have picked it, it's worth checking out what other kids said about it before you head off.
Think about it, when you study abroad it may cost you as much as buying a car. (My program cost $30k for 12 months abroad. Yeah. Fortunately I had financial aid).
Trust me, you want to read reviews other students have written before you embark on one of these things. Ones I know about:
- RateYourStudyAbroad.com
- Abroad101.com
- Googling "study abroad reviews" or ratings

where to read student reviews of study abroad programs

I would agree that it's definitely worth it to read what other students say! My friend went on a program that was a horrible fit and it ended up being a complete waste of money.
I used abroad101 - studyabroad101.com, and found that they have pretty solid info about how intense the courses are, housing quality, etc. My school actually told us to go to their website during the info session because it has so much info and you can read reviews from students across the country (which was quality because the last person from my college to go on my program went in 1997!).
good luck! I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again...I'm feeling restless without the non-stop adventure in New Zealand!

CourseFever.com is also a good resource for Study Abroad program reviews. I use it myself and I find it very resourceful.
