Life and times of the Caribbean/West Indies. Shake your sarong, drink some coconut juice and figure out the best way to hop from one isle to the next.

Which Islands in the Caribbean have you been too?

For those of you that have been lucky enough to go to Cuba and the Dominican Republic tell me some stories. What are the beaches like? What is the surf like? Can I find a cheap place to stay on the beach where I can surf and eat good food? Are there very many travelers there? What would it be like for me to go alone? Would it be really hard to get from Cuba to the Dominican Republic and then back to the USA? Thank you for all of your help.

What were you doing there? Any comments on living there? I have thought about it but haven't really looked into it too much.

New Providence, St Maarten, St Thomas.

I liked the feel of St Maareten best. The twists and turns of the roads are a lot like the mountains of NC... just with a heck of a view and better weather! Big Grin

Don't get your hopes up.

There is some loophole that when you are TRAVELING ON A LUXURY CRUISE SHIP with your PARENTS, you don't have to have a passport, and yet you still get to hang out on traveler forums.

Go figure.
