Life and times of the Caribbean/West Indies. Shake your sarong, drink some coconut juice and figure out the best way to hop from one isle to the next.

Which Islands in the Caribbean have you been too?

We've only been to the DR, and really haven't made it far from punta cana..

It's mainly because we keep getting great deals on "pug friendly" AI's from this punta cana hotels site. My BF is sooo cheap and loves fishing so we're constantly looking for the all-around win with vacations. If he can bring back pictures of giant Marlin, and he's saving money, that's paradise for him.

For me it's barefoot walks in the morning with my adorably insane pug.. I actually like the sand between my toes, unlike my K9 life partner. ;)

I'd love to wander on over to Grenada but even good rum can't make up for the lack of fishing. :P

Anyone a fisherman and have experiences with DR?

Let's see ... Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Carriacou, St Lucia (though that was a day trip), Antigua, Montserrat, Martinique, Guadeloupe - lots more to go. :)

Woah, you all are lucky. I wish I could see more of the Caribbean. I really want to go to San Andres, Colombia and the DR. I've only been to Cuba. I have also been to other non-island destinations in the Caribbean, like Cancun and Belize.

I just did an amazing trip sailing from St Maarten to Grenada; we stopped at 13 islands (12 countries) - many of the Leewards & Windwards. See http://www.yachtibis.co.uk/shipslog.htm for more details.

I'll be doing it all again in reverse in November if anyone wants to join in!

St. Thomas, St. Marten, St. John (my personal favorite), Tortola (second favorite), Grand Turk, and Puerto Rico. Love 'em all, but can't wait to get back to St. John.

2 places: we've been in Antigua and Dominica. We went to Antigua since my cousins and I loved to go on beaches and then to Dominica because my Aunts love to hike. We've had hikes with a tour guide on the rainforest of Dominica. Well we went there as for our luxury holiday through a travel site. It was really fun and exciting.

I visited several as a kid - Nassau (Bahamas), Puerto Rico, Barbados, Trinidad, Curacao, and Aruba.

As an adult, I have only been to Cayo Coco, just off Cuba, and Cuba itself. I only went to a resort, though, so I definitely need to go back and see more of the country.
